Why buy original shipper’s packs?
01 Aug 2018
At Timber Connection we only ever supply original shipper’s packs of timber. Original shipper’s packs are packs of timber that have been assembled at the producers premises in the country of origin before being safely banded and shipped in containers to the UK. Here are a few reasons why our customers appreciate being able to buy original packs:
- Price. Supplying you in original packs enables us to offer you quality timber at advantageous prices because we can act as a low-cost operator. We can handle hundreds of packs every day with just a couple of forklift trucks. Manoeuvring packs is simple and effective and avoids unnecessary labour costs that are incurred as soon as a pack is opened.
- Quality. When customers buy from Timber Connection they can be assured that the pack still has every original piece within it. The bands have never been broken and as such nobody has had the chance to sort through the pack to take the best boards out. In addition, the timber will have been regraded after kilning at source meaning any distorted boards do not get put in the pack by the grader.
- Measure. Timber Connection will always invoice you as per the original shippers specification, we always sell packs to you in the same way they were sold to us. Be it in inches from North America and the Far East or metric from West Africa and Europe, we’re so transparent we will even provide you with the original shippers length and width tally if you want it.
- Choice. We can tell you which producer supplied every single pack we offer you. Every time you buy a pack from us you know exactly who produced it. Every piece in the pack is from the same producer meaning every piece is likely to be consistent in grade, colour and texture. This also allows you to buy the productions you want rather than the other way around.
So, the next time you’re in the market ask yourself the question, am I buying original shipper’s packs and the benefits that come with them?
